Engaging with other Salemtowne residents in the community through planned social events as well as informal interactions provides wonderful benefits to residents.  Salemtowne residents are supported every step of the way by the most outstanding practices in active and healthy senior living that emphasize regular social interaction.  The more engaged people are, the better quality of life they experience.  Volunteering is one example of an activity with many benefits, one of which is social interaction with others.

Other examples of social activities on campus include:

  • Staffing the gift shops
  • Volunteering at Babcock Health Care Center
  • Playing bridge
  • Joining residents on a trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway
  • Meeting friends for coffee at the Breezeway Coffee shop
