Salemtowne Residents Connect with Local High School Students

Salemtowne residents recently had the opportunity to start relationships with high school students from North Forsyth High School that are participating in the Academy of Health Sciences. In its first year, students in the Academy are getting exposure to medical professionals and hands-on learning opportunties. Some plan to pursue careers as a nurse, physician's assistant or physician. This developing partnership is one part of connecting students to the community and helping them develop communication skills. The experience proved mutually beneficial to students and residents.

Alzheimer's Education Series

Salemtowne is pleased to present a 3-part Alzheimer's Education series facilitated by Rona Klein, Westerly Place Memory Support Program Coordinator. The series will begin with The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease on Thursday, June 14. Choose to attend a session from 2-3 pm or 7-8 pm.
