At Salemtowne, spirituality is nurtured in ways unique to every resident. Some Residents are drawn to sacred choral music, others to gardening, or to worship – and our community life provides a good foundation for all avenues of spiritual growth. Salemtowne’s full-time chaplain leads worship and offers individual pastoral care to residents and their families.
Salemtowne residents come from different denominations and faiths. We offer weekly ecumenical Christian worship services on campus. Area ministers come regularly for mid-week worship. Spiritual growth can be pursued through many opportunities, such as Bible studies, partaking in a Love Feast, solitude in our small chapel, and guest speakers throughout the year. By tradition, Salemtowne is associated with the Moravian Church and our spiritual programs are guided by the principles of devotion to God and the value of each individual.
