Phillips Health Care Center
Licensed by the N.C. Division of Facility Services as an 84-bed skilled nursing facility, Salemtowne's Health Care Center boasts 74 spacious private and five semi-private rooms. Both Medicare and Medicaid rooms are available.
Professional licensed nursing staff, consisting of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide health care along with Salemtowne's Medical Director, whom residents may choose as their primary care physician.
Within the Health Care Center, a specially designed 18-room Special Care wing serves the needs of individuals diagnosed with dementia-related diseases who benefit from a more structured environment. Features include:
- Specific activity plans
- Higher staffing ratios
- Dining/day room
- Screened porch
- Enclosed courtyard with wheelchair swing
As a continuing care retirement community, Salemtowne offers benefits that surpass the standard of traditional Skilled Nursing.
Health Care residents enjoy the fitness center, library and an abundance of activities that are offered to Independent Living residents.
Admissions
Salemtowne offers direct admissions to the Health Care Center. There is no application fee or entrance fee.
Short-term Admissions
Short-term stays are available to Independent Living residents, Assisted Living residents and admissions from the community at-large.
