alemtowne values hospitality, community and respect for individuals. These values are based on our Moravian foundation of beliefs where we respect a resident's:
- need for control, identity and involvement
- right to be an individual
- desire for activity, involvement and independence
- abilities rather than focusing on their disabilities
Clark and Cleo Masten Assisted Living Center
Assisted Living is a retirement opportunity for individuals or couples who require assistance with some of the activities of daily living such as:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Medication administration
- Meals
- Other supportive services
Assisted Living residents live in private studio rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Rooms are large enough to accommodate the residents' own furnishings, helping residents to feel at home. Large closets help with storage. Rooms are well maintained and routinely updated. All rooms are equipped with an emergency call system. Emergency pendants may also be obtained.
For additional space, lounges and kitchens for residents' use are conveniently located on each floor.
Assisted Living residents enjoy three meals a day in their choice of fine dining rooms, including the Independent Living Dorcas Dining Room or in the conveniently located Assisted Living Dining Room. Residents are served by members of the nursing and dining staff. Individuals requiring walker or wheelchair assistance benefit from the ease of mobility within the Assisted Living Center.
Most significantly, at Salemtowne licensed nursing staff are available to help Assisted Living residents 24-hours a day, and medications are administered by a member of the nursing staff.
As a continuing care retirement community, Salemtowne offers benefits that surpass the standard of traditional Assisted Living services. Residents of assisted living enjoy the Fitness Center, Library, Computer Lab and an abundance of activities that are offered to Independent Living residents. Another important benefit is the ability to utilize the Health Care Center should a temporary medical crisis emerge. Once the crisis is resolved, the resident may return to their Assisted Living residence.
Admissions
Salemtowne offers direct admissions to the Assisted Living Center. There is no application fee or entrance fee.
Short-term Admissions
Short-term stays are available to Independent Living residents as well as from the community at-large.
