ccreditation is often a defining feature for seniors seeking
a first-rate Continuing Care Retirement Community ("CCRC"). Accreditation demands that organizations meet
standards of excellence in three critical areas: health and
wellness; finance and strategy; and governance. It is a rigorous
voluntary process involving extensive self-evaluation by the
organization's staff, residents, clients, board of trustees,
and on-site review by trained evaluators.
Accreditation is
performed and sanctioned by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities - Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF-CCAC), the nation's only
accrediting body for CCRCs. It is a highly
coveted designation as accreditation acknowledges a community's
commitment to excellence. Upon successful evaluation, CARF-CCAC awards a community with its seal, signifying quality, integrity,
responsibility and accountability. You can recognize accredited
institutions by their use of the CCAC seal. Salemtowne is fully
accredited by CARF-CCAC. |
